Voice of the Middle East
Rev. Jacob Ammari, World Mission Broadcast’s voice of the Middle East, has been asked by Trans World Radio (TWR) to record a number of programs in response to the emerging events in that region. TWR is one of the world’s largest missionary broadcasters, reaching 80% of the world’s population including Iraq.
Jan Weisen, Regional Communications Coordinator for Eurasia, reported on March 25th that TWR, because of their confidence in World Mission Broadcast’s program “The Nazarene Voice”, approached Jacob to immediately begin recording programs that would be directly relevant to the war in Iraq.
“These new programs will air in place of the ones that were regularly scheduled” according to Weisen. “And, TWR is not charging World Mission Broadcast for the recording or air time.”
Dave Anderson, Director of World Mission Broadcast (formerly World Evangelism Broadcast) said, “Obviously the quality of our broadcasts have elicited the respect and confidence of our broadcast partners like TWR and, like Jacob, are in a position to respond immediately to various world situations.”
