Family Spectrum and Take 5 Listeners Reach Out
Manila, Philippines - Two recent responses from listeners of the World Mission Broadcast (WMB) sponsored programs Family Spectrum and Take 5 gives support to the evangelistic effectiveness of radio. Family Spectrum airs every Thursday night from 10-12 PM on Metro Manila’s NOW Radio, 98.7 FM. Take 5 airs on DZAS radio station.
Alvin S. shares: “Greetings! I’m a true listener of 98.7 NOW Radio. It’s been a great pleasure receiving a letter from your station. I believe it is God’s will that we met thru mail. I always listen to your program Family Spectrum. I’m really inspired with your program, especially the lovely songs you play and the message you deliver every night. It’s been an answered prayer for me. Thanks to God for having your station every night.”
Carol Benzonan, Audience Response Officer for the programs, shares her interaction with listener Daniel A.: “While listening in the afternoon to station DZAS, Daniel heard the announcer encouraging anyone with a prayer request to call a certain number. Although Daniel couldn’t remember the number, he recalled the name of the program - Take 5. He called the station asking to get in touch with the Take 5 program announcer (who is Doug Flemming, Regional Communications Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Region). “The station put Daniel in touch with Doug’s office where he connected with me,” Carol said. “He told me that ‘it was as if someone was telling him to call and they will pray for you.’”
Carol went on to report that the staff in the Asia-Pacific Communications office has been praying for Daniel daily and he has been participating in a correspondence Bible study, where he says he is experiencing spiritual growth. He has also asked how and where to visit a Nazarene church.”
