Tuned into Africa

May 2004: The Africa Region is busy! With a new radio studio in Madagascar and new equipment in Rwanda, World Mission Broadcast will have even more opportunities to reach the unreached.

Madagascar: In April 2004, a Work & Witness team from Germany helped to complete a new radio studio. This studio airs a daily broadcast of the program Through the Bible in the Malagasy language, which is drawing huge listener responses.
Presenter, Rev. Richard Revelamanantsoa reports that listeners are writing letters, contacting him by telephone, and most recently, had a man come from far away to the church services in order to see him. Rev. Revelamanantsoa was in conversation with someone in the church foyer when this man interrupted them and said: “I know that voice! I came from far to see you because I listen to your program on radio.” The man attended the service and Rev. Revelamanantsoa counseled with him afterwards.
Rwanda: The studio in Kigali will be upgraded to enable recording to Hard disk early 2005. Equipment has been purchased and was shipped to Rwanda.
